Mother's Day, which began as a gathering of Civil War veterans' bereaved mothers, has evolved into a celebration of mothers' contributions to society. From the moment we are born, we are accustomed to receiving care and nurturing from our moms. Therefore, we occasionally take for granted the unselfish care that our mothers provide.
