Lohri is a colourful and exuberant harvest festival that is widely observed in Punjab and has tremendous cultural significance. This yearly celebration, which is often held on January 13, heralds the end of winter and the beginning of longer days. However, Lohri 2024 will be celebrated on January 14. Its origins are in agricultural customs, where it is used to express thanks for an abundant crop.

The gathering of loved ones around a campfire is the focal point of Lohri celebrations. The advent of warmer days and the departure of the winter cold are represented by the campfire.
