IN PHOTOS: India pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 152nd birth anniversary

Prime Minister Naredndra Modi on Saturday paid tributes to Mahatama Gandhi on his 152nd birth anniversary, saying his life and ideas will inspire every generation to walk the path of their duties. President Ram Nath Kovind greeted citizens on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti and asked people to take pledge to strive for making India a country of his dreams. To mark the day, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also be unveiling a statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Lakshadweep.   Pics/Pradeep Dhivar, PTI, AFP
