Yet another case of medical negligence came to light&nbsp;from Darbhanga Medical College Hospital after an orthopaedic doctor plastered the wrong hand of the boy who fell from a mango tree.&nbsp;
Faijan (7), the victim, told the media, "My left hand was fractured but they plastered my right hand. I tried telling them while they were giving me the treatment but they did not listen to me."
The mother of the boy also expressed anger over the negligence by the medicos and said "This is utter negligence. We were not even provided with a single tablet by the hospital. An investigation should be carried out."
The matter has reached the State Health Department and minister Mangal Pandey has asked the Superintendent of the medical centre to brief him on the same.
"Health Minister has asked me to investigate the matter and seek clarification from the concerned team regarding this negligence. I condemn this incident and I am trying to fix the issue. People involved in the incident will be punished," said Dr Raj Ranjan Prasad, Superintendent.

BEST bus fares reduced, minimum fare down to Rs 5 After going back and forth on the issue of reducing the minimum fare for buses, the BEST Committee has finally decided to make the base charge Rs 5. The proposal will first be sent to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and then to the Metropolitan Regional Transport Authority for approvals, a process that would take less than a month.
