J&K: Sena (UBT) holds protest demanding statehood, democratically elected govt

Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Saturday staged a protest outside the office of the Jammu and Kashmir State Election Commission in Jammu demanding the restoration of statehood and a democratically elected government in the union territory

Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Saturday staged a protest outside the office of the Jammu and Kashmir State Election Commission in Jammu demanding the restoration of statehood and a democratically elected government in the union territory.

President of the Sena in Jammu and Kashmir Manish Sahni, who was leading the protest, said almost five years have passed since the fall of the PDP-BJP coalition in June 2018 but the promise of restoration of statehood and Assembly elections are still a far cry.
