A Uttarakhand sessions court has granted bail to Yati Narsinghanand in Haridwar hate speech case.
According to <a href="https://www.livelaw.in/news-updates/local-court-grants-bail-yati-narsinghanand-haridwar-dharam-sansad-case-191369" rel="nofollow">Live Law</a>, Vivek Bharti Sharma, district and sessions judge granted Narsinghanand bail while noting that bail is a rule and jail is an exception. He was arrested on January 15 by Uttarakhand Police.
In December 2021, at a 'Dharma Sansad' in Haridwar, Narsinghanand, Waseem Rizvi alias Jitendra Narayan Tyagi and many others had made objectionable and derogatory statements against Prophet Mohammad and the religion of Islam. An FIR was filed against organisers following the backlash.
Narsinghanand was booked under Section 153A and 295A IPC. His bail plea had been rejected by the court earlier citing the alleged hate speech had the potential to spread communal violence.

Narsinghanand had made provocative and communal speeches at Dharma Sansad in December 2021
