Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Thursday unfurled the national flag at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan in Mumbai's Dadar on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day. While addressing the people of the state on the occasion of Republic Day, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari said: I extend my greetings to the people of Maharashtra on the 74th anniversary of the Republic Day of India


“I pay my respect and tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Kranti Jyoti Savitribai Phule, Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and other great social reformers,” he said.

“My government is working for creating a progressive and developed Maharashtra by taking all the elements of the society together. I appeal to all to come together and resolve to create a new and strong Maharashtra,” he urged

High tidal waves in Mumbai delay Lalbaugcha Raja`s visarjan
