IN PHOTOS: Fire breaks out in Bhiwandi cotton yarn manufacturing unit

The fire, according to the officials, was doused in the wee hours of Wednesday, November 15.

The unit, which is located in Osia Mata Compaound in Raj Mata Complex, Bhiwandi, was engulfed with fire and was charred by the time it was doused.

Soon after they were notified, the fire brigade units from Bhiwandi, Thane and Kalyan rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

Per the officials, two fire engines of the Bhiwandi fire brigade were engaged in the operations.

One jumbo water tanker from Thane unit and one fire engine from Kalyan were engaged too.

It hasn't been ascertained yet as to what caused the blaze; however, fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. The extent of damage caused by the fire is not known either.
