The police on Monday launched another enquiry against former city police commissioner Param Bir Singh and dismissed assistant inspector Sachin Waze, as they violated the rules of judicial custody. “As Waze is in judicial custody, anyone who wishes to meet him must take the court's permission,” an officer said.

Singh met Waze on Monday when he had gone to the office of the Chandiwal Commission, which is probing his allegations of corruption against former state home minister Anil Deshmukh. He had sought the cancellation of the non-bailable warrant issued against him. The commission cancelled the warrant and told him to pay Rs 15,000 to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
