Maharashtra schools may be shut again if Omicron cases rise: Varsha Gaikwad

Earlier, the decision to reopen schools from December 4 was postponed due to the detection of Omicron variant of coronavirus

School Education Minister Professor Varsha Eknath Gaikwad, on Wednesday said that schools may be shut again if Omicron cases continue to rise.

“If Omicron cases continue to rise, we may take a call to shut schools again. We are monitoring the situation,” she said.
