Two lab owners have been arrested for fabricating COVID-19 test reports and defrauding employees of a company that had asked them to set up a test camp at their office, which was permitted by the Centre recently. Rabale MIDC police said that one of them collected samples for Thyrocare diagnostics.
Pravin Industries had approached Devidas Ghule of Midtown Diagnostic Laboratory in Thane for the tests. Ghule passed on the work to Mohammed Wasim Aslam Sheikh of Perfect Health Pathology in Kalyan which works an associate lab for collecting swab samples for Thyrocare.
