IN PHOTOS: Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest gets underway in the city

The 14th edition of Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai Litfest has returned and Mumbaikars have been able to attend it online from October 25 and on-ground since October 27 as it hosts many great authors and speakers


The festival is taking place on ground till October 29 at the NCPA in Nariman Point, St Paul's Institute of Communication Education, and Title Waves bookstore in Bandra.

Celebrated thought leaders, wordsmiths and storytellers from India and 15 other countries, have been exploring issues at the heart of fiction, poetry, mathematics, economics, communications, business, sport, health, history, art, society, nature, food, with fresh and unique perspectives.

Along with the sessions and debates, it will also have the prestigious Poet Laureate, Lifetime Achievement, and Long List and Short List Literary Awards, The Binod Kanoria Awards for Children’s Literature and The Rotary Writing For Peace Award too.

Participants include Abanti Sankaranarayanan, Anuja Chauhan, Arjun Raj Gaind, Gulzar, Gurcharan Das, Faye D’Souza, Jerry Pinto, Kunal Vijayakar, Luke Coutinho, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Manoranjan Byapari, Peter Frankopan (in picture) and more.

This year’s Litfest is also shining a spotlight on works by women as well as regional writers, as well as new-age themes, writers and speakers.

High tidal waves in Mumbai delay Lalbaugcha Raja`s visarjan
