Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee met during the shoot of their TV show Ramayan where they played the role Lord Ram and Sita respectively

During the show, Gurmeet and Debina became good friends which then blossomed into a love story

Gurmeet and Debina got married in 2011 on February 15

The couple welcomed their first child after 11 years of marriage. "Gurmeet and I got married in 2011 but back then, having a baby meant giving away my career. I also had apprehensions ki break liya toh career stake par aa jaayega. The plan was to find stability before taking another step," Debina said in an interview with Bomabay Times

She added, “The fight to become a mother lasted five years. I failed five times during the process, which included three IUIs and two IVFs. I also tried alternative therapies, like acupuncture and flower therapy. I would cry all the time because I held myself responsible for the failure. The feeling of reaching a dead-end is devastating”

Their first daughter, Lianna, was born in April 2022

After waiting long to welcome their first child, Debina immediately got pregnant with their second child. The second child was born pre-mature and the couple welcomed her in 2022 as well

Gurmeet and Debina call Divisiha their miracle baby as she was born pre-mature fought her way through to them even as she was kept under NICU after birth. While Lianna was born through IVF, Divisha was a natural pregnancy
